His father was a major player in the Albigensian crusade but when was the last time you heard about the man who led a rebellion against King Henry III and became the father of the modern parliament? It's time to fix that.

Just found your podcast. I share your love of Simon, but this was way too fast and with too many up and down and loud and soft parts. Please re-record and slow/calm it down. Thank you!

Also very interested in this podcast, but it's difficult to understand when you speak so quickly!

Dear Christine,

I love that you are researching Guy and his descendants, outside of Simon he is certainly my favorite of the de Montfort clan. Although I have heard of the series, I did not (yet) read it in its entirety but it's completion is high on my interest list and I am glad you pointed it out here. It definitely reminded me to pick it up! When I don't get to mention every book around on a topic (both fiction and non-fiction) because topics have so much written about them I love to see other people make suggestions in the comments. Not only to help other people but to remind me there will always be more to find on the topics I love.
